Here’s what some great Catholics who read the manuscript last month have said about the book: (full reviews at bottom of post)

“In this excellent volume, Professor O’Connor … shows how the teaching of Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Church’s Magisterium illuminates the faithful Catholic with respect to the avalanche of recent allegations of UFOs sightings. O’Connor shows how Satan is continuing his ancient deception of the human race today, hidden in plain sight. The recent ramping up of UFO claims, allegedly intelligent extraterrestrial life, and the involvement of the US government (and world governments) in the midst of it all is not merely the next “psyop”; rather, it is an essential part of the diabolical plan to deceive the human race to reject Christian faith and the offer of eternal life. Informative and pragmatic, this book also serves as an extended spiritual meditation on the human condition, salvation history, the enemy’s wiles, and God’s goodness, truth, mercy, and power.  A must read!

— Dr. Michael Sirilla, Professor of Systematic and Dogmatic Theology, Franciscan University of Steubenville

Fearless, thought-provoking, and even appropriately controversial, Daniel O’Connor’s latest book, The First and Last Deception, gives the reader much to ponder on hot-button topics, such as UFOs, aliens, and A.I. As always, his extensive research and academic training in the Catholic faith are on full display. Having attended seminary with him, I know first-hand Daniel’s orthodoxy and his love of the truth of Catholicism. Although some may disagree, O’Connor presents a compelling argument that the whole notion of non-human intelligent incarnate life is the final deception referred to in Scripture. It behooves all of us to consider this possibility, or else risk being “unprepared” for the end times as Christ has warned.

—Fr. Chris Alar, MIC. Provincial Superior & Director of the Marian Helpers at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy

“A masterful, if not definitive refutation of the alien hypothesis.”

— Mark Mallett, Evangelist, Host of Countdown to the Kingdom & The Now Word, and Author of The Final Confrontation

One would think that with more or less two trillion galaxies and 200 billion trillion (sextillion) stars in our ever-expanding universe, it would only make sense that other rational beings could exist somewhere out there—right? With the United States Congress holding actual hearings on UFO’s, they must be onto something—no? After all, sane people have recounted seeing unidentified flying objects for years—and didn’t some saint say that there could be intelligent life in the universe, besides little us? Really, there is no logical fallacy or harm in believing that aliens exist. Or is there?

The First and Last Deception surprised me. My mind was airtight on the possibility of there being rational creatures among the two trillion galaxies, until Daniel O’Connor’s extensive research, arguments and incontrovertible truths punched holes in my assumptions. Now I feel that humanity needs to read this book and pass it onto others, even to those who could care less about the subject. Why? Because an enemy is lurking behind alien eyes. This enemy is real, but not what people think. We must waste no time now in forming a Catholic fortress against a tsunami of extraterrestrial lies that is advancing, threatening to kill the faith of many.

The “alien” phenomena either has a faith-based answer (it’s demons);or, it has a natural answer (it’s fake and is being fabricated by those secret societies in power- such as in the deep state). The Church has never spoken about “UFO sightings” as a matter of Church teaching, so you are free to discern for yourself the credibility of the claims made about them. However, I believe Daniel O’Connor convincingly argues that the UFO phenomenon is demonic in origin (the Bible says that Satan can appear to us “as an angel of light” —2 Corinthians 11:14); and that these are demonic manifestations intended to take your eyes off of Jesus and your faith and make you chase diabolical shadows. Kyle Clement wrote that “Demons will masquerade and come in the form that you want them to come as based on what’s in your memory.” Atheism and unbelief is one of the biggest problems we face today (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2123); therefore as a consequence of this sin, God allows the devil to deceive us. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (RSV) “The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore, God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” These UFOs are wicked deceptions caused by Satan because people reject the truth, therefore God will punish us with these UFO delusions so that we end up believing what is false. Gullible secular humanists believe that UFOs are saviors from another world; in fact, they are demonic manifestations intended to take you down the rabbit hole to hell. (Notice that those who claim they were abducted by aliens say they couldn’t move. Could this be “diabolical oppression”? They also say the aliens looked like reptiles. Well, the Holy Bible calls the devil “nahash” in Genesis 3:15, and “nahash” means “serpent dragon”: a reptile.) All these UFO encounters, and now our military suddenly coming out with more reports and sightings seems very suspicious.  Marxist atheists will come up with anything to make us believe “we’re not alone.” Here is a theory: what if the Antichrist tries to disguise himself as an “alien” who has “the solutions” (false solutions) for mankind? Our society is conditioned to accept almost anything right now. The Antichrist could make use of this great falsehood: “we’re not alone in the Universe” to put the nail in the coffin for so many; seducing modern men to lose what little faith they have in Christianity–especially if he portrays himself as an alien with superior intelligence.

Also, an announcement:

I have closed my Albany PO Box. (Unfortunately, almost all the downtown daily Masses in Albany have been eliminated, so nothing brings me there on a regular basis any longer, as I’ve switched my daily Mass routine elsewhere.) Moving forward, please send all mail to:
